Yeast Infection Of Mouth

Getting a yeast infection can be both embarrassing and painful. Getting a yeast infection of mouth can be both difficult to diagnose, embarrassing due to the cause and also difficult to treat. Any yeast infection mouth throat or vaginal should immediately be seen to by your doctor as these can produce further complications and risk to your overall health.

The cause of a yeast infection is by a microscopic fungus called Candida albicans. The symptoms can be very uncomfortable and it is more commonly referred to as thrush. The fungal infection can grow in the mucous areas of the mouth and can spread to the throat and the oesophagus and result in serious complications so if you feel you may have oral thrush or a yeast infection of mouth then you must visit your doctor as soon as you can.

The yeast infection is caused by fungus Candida more commonly referred to as Candida albicans. This fungus is a normal resident of the mouth and vagina and are normally kept under control by good bacteria in the mouth and vagina. However, hormonal imbalances can cause the fungus Candida to mass-produce and a good bacteria can no longer control the yeast infection and would lead to Candida albicans yeast infection.

The yeast infection of mouth can also be transmitted between two sexually active partners and you can also contract the yeast infection by coming into contact either orally or sexually the fungus spores from the other partner. This can lead to a continual cycle of passing the infection from one person to the other and back again so even if one person cures the yeast infection of mouth they may get it back again from their partner. It is imperative that you visit your doctor as soon as you realise you have a yeast infection of mouth.
